A second-generation Windham leader, Erin has held a variety of critical roles at Windham, starting as a Business Manager in 1992. Over the next two decades, she worked as General Counsel, deeply entrenching herself in Windham’s Compliance and Legal initiatives, and then as Executive Vice President, overseeing the productivity of our Sales and Operations teams as they achieved short- and long-term revenue goals for us and our clients. Erin became CEO in 2006 before becoming Chairman of the Board in 2014. While serving as CEO, Windham’s revenue grew at its quickest pace and we now employ over 650 talented individuals across our four U.S. locations. Under her Board leadership, Windham continues its path of strategic growth, including ventures into new markets. She is a friend of NCHER’s Debt Management Committee and a former member of their Board.
Erin graduated from Union College with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and earned her Juris Doctorate from Franklin Pierce Law Center. She holds joint admission to the Massachusetts and New Hampshire Bars and was admitted to both the U.S. District Court of Massachusetts and of New Hampshire.
As Executive Vice President, Dave is responsible for enterprise sales and marketing efforts, as well as FFELP, schools channel, and commercial operations. Joining Windham in 2018, his experience ensures an ongoing commitment to high-quality processes and account management for Windham’s clients. Dave brings with him over 26 years of accounts receivable management experience, gained from the many senior and executive roles he’s held in both the sales and operations sides while working for companies such as Financial Collection Agencies, Nationwide Credit, and National Asset Management. He was also Managing Director at First Marblehead Corporation where he oversaw all pre- and post-default operations and outsourcing on a $20B private loan portfolio. Much of Dave’s career has been centered around state and federal programs, including Master Servicing Management for several state guarantee agencies and state taxing authorities. In one of his recent engagements, Dave managed several State Tax Amnesty Programs, generating millions of dollars and contributing to healthier state budgets.
Chuck has worked in the accounts receivable industry for over 20 years, including extensive experience directing and monitoring operations for the U.S. Department of Education portfolio. Joining Windham in 2006, Chuck has continuously leveraged his deep operational experience, personnel management, and customer service skills to drive growth, implement new technologies and increase team morale. He is responsible for developing procedures and strategies that improve performance and production for our government sector while reducing costs for Windham and our clients. Chuck holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. He is a retired United States Air Force veteran who has also held senior-level Operations positions at Commercial Financial Services, Financial Asset Management Systems, Nationwide Credit and The CBE Group.
Brett has 35 years of experience in higher education at the school, finance and association level. He was a Board member and Strategic Advisor for the National Student Loan Program in Lincoln, Nebraska. For 16 years, Brett served as the President of the National Council of Higher Education Loan Programs and as a Vice President of the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities. He was the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Chancellor of New Jersey’s Department of Higher Education and was a Board member of the National College Access Network. Brett began his professional career as Assistant Director of Financial Aid at Monmouth College and Director at Brookdale Community College. Brett has a BS from the University of Wisconsin.
Mike joined Windham in 2015 and as CIO he is responsible for company-wide technology and information security initiatives. In his additional role as CTO he guides the direction of the company’s digital transformation and expanded use of innovative consumer channels. Prior to joining Windham, Mike successfully led software engineering, information security, and various infrastructure services teams with a leadership style guided by transparency, clear expectations and coordinated execution. Mike has had substantial success at companies such as Convergys, Ascend Learning, and The Blogger Network in positions including Vice President, Platform & Solutions at Ascend Learning and Senior Director, Architecture and Product Development at Convergys.
As Chief Financial Officer, Meave oversees the financial management, accounting, facilities and payroll functions of the entire business while also being an integral part of the company’s long-term strategic planning. She brings considerable experience in growing companies by placing a strong emphasis on metric-driven financial systems and management tools. Her proven track record ranges from helping an education start-up launch 16 charter public schools in three years, to assisting two well-known companies assess their business models and implement changes that allowed them both to get back on track and regain profitability. Meave graduated with honors from Milton Academy, Harvard College (AB), Oxford University (MSt) and Babson College (MBA).
As Vice President and General Counsel, Larry is responsible for all legal matters impacting Windham’s business and in particular, for leading Windham to implement changes affecting the industry by providing the analysis of new or pending legislation important to our successful operations. Larry is a member of the National Council of Higher Education Resources (NCHER) Debt Management Committee, Collection Agency Caucus, and Private Loan Committee, as well as the Association of Credit and Collection Professionals (ACA) Members’ Attorney Program. Larry graduated with a BA in political science from the University of Massachusetts and obtained his Juris Doctorate from Syracuse University College of Law.
