Doing Extra

Charitable Contributions

• We donate all of the proceeds from the lunchroom vending machines in our Salem headquarters to the Community Action Agency in Salem, a local organization that helps needy families in the area.
• Windham supports national charities such as the Special Olympics and the Joslin Clinic.
• We donate our empty ink and toner cartridges to FundingFactory, a fundraising organization that recycles the cartridges and donates the proceeds to local schools.
• We maintain a “Dress-Down for Charity Tuesdays” program, which allows employees to dress down for a $2.00 donation. All donations are totaled at the end of each month and given to local charities.
• Windham actively supports the NHHEAF Network Organizations’ College Equals Opportunity (CEO) Scholarship fund, a statewide NH public awareness campaign that awards scholarships to college students with demonstrated leadership and academic abilities.

Lion's Heart Initiative: An Ongoing Commitment to Charitable Works

Windham's Lion’s Heart Initiative is a group of committees representing each of our office locations with charity events and donations. This initiative involves employees giving back to their local communities by having a Lion’s Heart Committee, made up of a variety of employees from each department, in each office. The committees organize charity events, coordinate fundraising activities, and more.

Supporting Disadvantaged Businesses

For marketing collateral materials and large-scale marketing mail campaigns, Windham has contracted with the following businesses:

• Sheltered Workshops, Inc.: a not-for-profit corporation in Missouri employing persons with developmental, mental, and physical challenges
• Imagine It Marketing, Inc.: a certified Woman-Owned Business Enterprise in New York providing promotional services

Sharing Knowledge through Outreach

Windham travels around the country to host informational workshops about collection news, techniques, and best practices.
